چکیده

The deduction problem we will consider can be loosely described as follows: given the probabilities of some events, we wish to compute the probabilities of some other events. The terms "event" and "probability" are to be understood as having the meaning assigned to them in statistics. Probabilistic inference rules have been shown to constitute a key ingredient of expert systems. This report addresses the problem of generalizing the two fuzzy logic rules

Probabilistic Quantifier Logic for General Intelligence: An Indefinite Probabilities Approach

Indefinite probabilities are a novel technique for quantifying uncertainty, which were created as part of the PLN (Probabilistic Logic Networks) logical inference engine, which is a key component of the Novamente Cognition Engine (NCE), an integrative AGI system. Previous papers have discussed the use of indefinite probabilities in the context of a variety of logical inference rules, but have o...

Probabilistic representation and approximate inference of type-2 fuzzy events in Bayesian networks with interval probability parameters

It is necessary and challenging to represent the probabilities of fuzzy events and make inferences between them based on a Bayesian network. Motivated by such real applications, in this paper, we first define the interval probabilities of type-2 fuzzy events. Then, we define weak interval conditional probabilities and the corresponding probabilistic description. The expanded multiplication rule...

A Comparative Study of the Neural Network, Fuzzy Logic, and Nero-fuzzy Systems in Seismic Reservoir Characterization: An Example from Arab (Surmeh) Reservoir as an Iranian Gas Field, Persian Gulf Basin

Intelligent reservoir characterization using seismic attributes and hydraulic flow units has a vital role in the description of oil and gas traps. The predicted model allows an accurate understanding of the reservoir quality, especially at the un-cored well location. This study was conducted in two major steps. In the first step, the survey compared different intelligent techniques to discover ...

Bell-shaped Probabilistic Fuzzy Set for Uncertainties Modeling

The probabilistic fuzzy set (PFS) and the related probabilistic fuzzy logic system (PFLS) is designed for handling the uncertainties in both stochastic and nonstochastic nature. In this paper, a bell-shaped probabilistic fuzzy set is proposed and the related PFLS is constructed and applied to a modeling problem to study stochastic modeling capability. It clearly discloses that the bell-shaped P...

Generalising the Interaction Rules in Probabilistic Logic

The last two decades has seen the emergence of many different probabilistic logics that use logical languages to specify, and sometimes reason, with probability distributions. Probabilistic logics that support reasoning with probability distributions, such as ProbLog, use an implicit definition of an interaction rule to combine probabilistic evidence about atoms. In this paper, we show that thi...
